This article lists the settings you can customize during an Interana installation. You can specify these settings for a single-node installation or multi-node installation. Enter your custom setting at each prompt, or accept the default settings as they are shown by pressing Enter. 

Customizable Interana settings

Template: interana/accept_eula
Type: boolean
Default: false
Description: Do you accept the Interana End User License Agreement (EULA) terms?
You must agree to the license available at https://docs.interana.com/eula if you want to use Interana.
Not accepting will cancel the installation.

 

Template: interana/mysql_server
Type: string
Default: 127.0.0.1
Description: MySQL server address

Address of the MySQL server (or equivalent) Interana will use

 

Template: interana/mysql_port
Type: string
Default: 3306
Description: MySQL server port
Port to use on the MySQL server

 

Template: interana/mysql_username
Type: string
Default: root
Description: MySQL username
Username with which Interana will use to connect to MySQL

 

Template: interana/mysql_password
Type: password
Description: MySQL password
Password with which Interana will use to connect to MySQL

 

Template: interana/mysql_connection_error
Type: error
Description: Unable to connect to MySQL using the credentials provided.
You will be returned to where you may enter them again.

 

Template: interana/node_roles
Type: multiselect
Choices: api, config, import, data, string, listener
Default: api, config, import, data, string
Description: Which roles should this node run?
This can be changed later via Interana's CLI

 

Template: interana/must_select_role
Type: error
Description: At least one role must be selected for this node.
You will be returned to where you may select them again.

 

Template: interana/listener_roles
Type: multiselect
Choices: listener, kafka, zookeeper

Default: listener, kafka, zookeeper

Description: Which listener roles should this node run?

This can be changed later via Interana's CLI

 

Template: interana/cluster_id
Type: String
Description: Cluster ID
Will appear in various places where the cluster needs to reference itself (e.g. logs)

 

Template: interana/data_path
Type: String
Default: /var/lib/interana/data
Description: Data Path

Path where Interana will store persistent, frequently-accessed data. This is expected to be high-performance storage.

 

Template: interana/tmp_path
Type: String
Default: /tmp/interana
Description: Tmp Path
Path where Interana will store temporary, non-critical, data.
