SSL

Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is a cryptographic protocol that provides security for communication over a computer network. SSL is used widely in web browsing, email, Internet faxing, instant messaging, and voice-over-IP (VoIP). Websites use SSL to secure all communications between their servers and web browsers.
