Geospatial data

Geospatial data includes explicit geographic positioning information, such as a road network from a GIS, or a geo-referenced satellite image. This means that records in a dataset have locational information tied to them such as geographic data in the form of coordinates, address, city, or ZIP code. Other geospatial data can originate from GPS data, satellite imagery, and geotagging.
