HTTPS (HTTP Secure) is a protocol used for communication over Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) within a connection encrypted by Transport Layer Security (TLS). HTTPS is commonly used to provide authentication for visited websites and associated web servers. HTTPS authentication helps to ensure the privacy and integrity of data being exchanged.
